9 mini mozzarella balls
1 egg, beaten
1 onion, finely diced
1 tsp minced garlic
100g fresh breadcrumbs
Olive oil
Salt and pepper

Sauce

2 tins of chopped tomatoes
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tsp minced garlic
Salt and pepper
Olive oil

Method

1. Fry the onion in olive oil until soft.
2. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
3. Tip into a bowl and add the mince, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix thoroughly and season.
4. Make each meatball by taking a mozzarella ball and surrounding it with the mince mixture.
5. Heat some olive oil in a large, lidded sauté pan and cook the meatballs, turning, until browned all over.
6. While the meatballs are cooking, make the sauce: heat some olive oil in a pan, add the onion and cook until soft. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, then add the tomatoes and seasoning.

8. Serve with spaghetti.
